It’s not our vision that blinds us.
It’s our inability to see.
Who shall part with their own convictions?
Who shall surrender their own being?
In our minds we are right.
The other must be wrong.
For the sake of peace one will concede.
Their principles no longer valued.
What does the other really gain?
The solace of silence?
The victory of another’s shame?
With love comes pain.
