This morning my favorite aunt passed away. She was not only my favorite aunt she was one of my favorite people in life. There are not enough words to describe her. Throughout her life she had the role of a daughter, sister, mother and aunt. She wore many hats and they fit her well. I wrote this poem just a short while ago for her three children. I thought I would share it because it feels good to share my aunt. I have never known anyone who did not like her. Because of that I find peace. I know she lived in peace so I know she was at peace with life when she passed away this morning. I have been told one of the last things she said was, "It's gonna be alright!
☆*•.¸-‘๑’- It's gonna be alright-‘๑’-¸.•☆
The sun rises and it falls.
Unlike the man in the moon you never see its face.
Yet, we feel it smiling down at us .
We don't have to see the sun to know it's there.
It forces its way through the clouds to share its warm embrace.
We see a falling star and it takes our breath away.
Though it quickly fades a lasting memory takes its place.
Like the sun she is shining down on you.
Let her brighten your darkest days.
Unlike a falling star her life will never fade.
Because now she is living her life through you.
It's gonna be alright she's captured in our hearts and will remain.
It's gonna be alright she will shine down on us to dry our tears like the sun dries up the rain.
It's gonna be alright her life goes on because she's living life through you.
She will rise each dawn and take her place.
Like the sun you will feel her warm embrace..
It's gonna be alright because when she rest she knows just like the man in the moon if you look hard enough you can still see her face.
It's gonna be alright because she will always be here.
No-one escapes us that we treasure and hold so dear.
It's gonna be alright because she told us so.
She wouldn't say it if she didn't know.
Like the sun she will rise each day to be with you.
Like the man in the moon she will look over you when you rest your weary head.
She's waiting for tomorrow to come so she can be with you.
It's gonna be alright because the sun always rises and the man on the moon never falls.
