Confessions Of A Trash Picker

Most that know me well know I love clearance sales. Over the past month my local Kmart has had the best clearance sales. Of course I went a little over board. Here are some examples.
1) Febreeeze .33cents per can. . I purchased all of them which was over 20 cans. (Regular price is $3.99 a can)
2) Panties $4.99 for 12 pairs. I purchased 24 pairs. (Regular price is $6.99 a pair)
3) Cover-girl .68 cents. I purchased 8 of them. (Regular price is $8.99 each)
4) Under eye makeup .66 cents. I purchased 10 (Regular price is $8.99 each)
5) Lettuce $1.00 a head. I purchased 10 heads. (Regular price is $1.79) I eat a salad twice a day...yummy!
6) Pantene $1.25 a bottle. I purchased all of them which was 31 bottles. (Regular price $4.99 a bottle) I just wheeled the whole cart to check out...smiles
Today I went to Walmart. I found over $250.00 worth of my favorite skin care line (L'Oreal) on clearance sale. I purchased all of it for a little under $25.00.
After Walmart I took a drive. I was driving around in a wealthy neighborhood. I noticed someone putting trash on their curb. I sat there eyeing it for a bit. I noticed two beautiful cherry nightstands. So I got out and took a peek. After trash picking I wound up with the nightstands, a vase and something I have not figured out what it is yet.
I drove a little further down the road and noticed another trash pile. It looked interesting so I stopped. I left with a wooden card table, an ugly painting but I like the frame and Hooters Beer Mug.
Do you know the flower shops throw away perfectly good flowers? Why spend $30.00 of more for a flower arrangement? They die anyway. All you have to do is spray them off and arrange them. Besides if you take the time it is a more personal gift. Hmmmm! Mothers Day is coming up I think my mom would like some flowers.
GOTTA LOVE TRASH PICKING! I think I am going to do it more. I have a plan. I am going to map out the wealthy neighborhoods and see what they throw out. Never can start shopping for Christmas too soon you know.
