FLASHLIGHT STORIES

There is a game I play with my grandchildren. It is called Flashlight Stories. We sit under a blanket with a flashlight. I usually start the first part of the story. Then I shine the flashlight on one of the children and they take over. Each person takes turns and the story grows.
Last night I started with the first two sentences of this story. My 6 year old grand-daughter Sadie asked if she could take over. She asked me to type her story while she told it. She said, "Grandma, this is going to be a good one! We need to write it down." I would like to share the story with you. It shows the beauty of the mind of a child.
I hope you enjoy!

SADIE'S GARDEN
There once was a flower who lived in the garden.
Her name was Daisy.
There was also was one named Shrek.
There was a Grandmom Flower.
The garden also had a Mom and Dad flower.
The garden was so big there were other flowers named Deja, Devon, Scott, Jo Jo, Zack, Ty and Alex.
Everyday they stood in the dirt.
If it rained they stood in the mud.
Sadie took care of this beautiful garden.
Everyday she watered and fed them.
Sometimes an ugly flower would come into the garden.
Sadie would weed the garden and get rid of him.
But he liked the garden so he always came back.
One day Sadie noticed the weed started to look like a flower.
So she decided to let it grow.
The other flowers began to like the weed.
Sadie did also.
It go so big it was taller then Sadie.
The other flowers looked up at it.
One day Sadie noticed yellow pedals growing on this huge flower.
The flower looked like the sun. So Sadie named it Sunflower.
The Sunflower was really not a weed. It loved his new home.
He looked down at all the other flowers everyday and smiled.
From then on Sadie let all the other weeds grow in her garden.
